$10,000 First Home Owners Grant

Did you know that by building a new home you are eligible for the $10,000 first home owners grant as well as receiving stamp duty concessions on the land.

Information about the grant

What this means is if you purchase land (under $300,000 in value) and enter into a contract to build not only will you be eligible for the $10,000 first home owners grant you will also be exempt from paying stamp duty on the land purchase.

If you purchase an established property (a home that has been previously occupied) you will not receive the $10,000 incentive. You will receive a stamp duty exemption if you purchase a property under $430,000 but anything above this you will incur a stamp duty component.

$10,000 FHOG for Apartments and Off the Plan Homes

Did you know that if you purchase a new apartment off the plan or a completed property direct from the developer that has never been occupied you are still eligible to receive the $10,000 first home owners grant and stamp duty concessions.

In a quiet market lots of builders construct their own “spec” homes so they may have stock to move into straight away.
