Pre-Start / Contract Variations
Pre-start is the process where you go and select all the finishes and make small alterations to your home before construction commences.
The builder will have priced basic inclusions into the initial house price but if you go and upgrade any of these items at pre-start you will be charged additional money.
Things to be mindful of:
- Be aware that if you spend additional money after you have received formal finance approval these additional amounts will not be included in your home loan.
- You will need to pay cash for these at key handover.
- Be aware as the builder will often not stop you spending more and will not advise you that the cost will fall outside of your approved finance.
